What are the most important means to remain steadfast in the religion?
Steadfastness in obedience to Allah and perseverance in it are essential for the believer's happiness in this world and the Hereafter, as indicated by the Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions. For example, Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, those who have said, 'Our Lord is Allah ' and then remained steadfast – the angels will descend upon them," and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Say, 'I believe in Allah,' and then be steadfast."
To achieve this, one must seek help from Allah Almighty, adhere to His Book and the of His Prophet, accompany righteous people who guide to good, and avoid bad companions who follow desires, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the example of a righteous companion and a bad companion is like that of the seller of musk and the blower of the bellows."
