Will man attain love and affection in Paradise, and are there feelings of love between a man and a houri, or is it merely a physical relationship?
Whoever enters Paradise will attain therein whatever he wishes for and more. Allah Almighty says: "And therein is whatever souls desire and eyes find delight." Even the one who exits Hellfire and enters Paradise will be told, "Wish!" So he will wish until his wishes are exhausted, then Allah will say to him, "You shall have that, and its like with it." Therefore, a servant should not preoccupy himself with what is in Paradise, but rather with acquiring the means to enter it and ascend its ranks, and ask Allah for the highest Paradise (Al-Firdaws Al-A'la).
As for a man's relationship in Paradise with the Houris (maidens of Paradise), it is deeper and extends beyond a purely physical relationship. They have been created in a way that delights a person from every aspect, both physically and spiritually. Their relationship is already established now, for the Houri says to a man's wife in this world if she harms him: "Do not harm him, for he is only a guest with you, and he will soon depart from you to us."
