Is anything incumbent upon a brother if he quarreled with a man and then wished to reconcile, only to discover that the man had moved to another city?

A Muslim should mend his relationship with those he has quarreled with, and remember that Satan incites discord among people. It is not permissible to abandon someone for more than three days, and the better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting. Abandonment ends by returning to the state they were in before the abandonment; thus, deeds are presented, and believers are forgiven, except for those who are quarreling until they reconcile. If one of the quarreling parties travels, the other is not obliged to travel to him; it suffices to remove ill-will from his heart.
