The questioner has established proof against himself by committing a sin, despite being married to a woman who combines the good of both this world and the religion. Therefore, he must immediately repent, and maintain the remembrance of Allah and prayer, for they forbid indecency and evil, as Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater." (Al-Ankabut: 45). The ill omen of sin is not limited to its perpetrator, but may also affect those around him, and Allah Almighty said: "And fear a trial which will not strike exclusively those who have wronged among you, and know that Allah is severe in punishment."
