Is it permissible for a father to force his daughters to bear false witness, threatening them with death or torture if they refuse?

Bearing false witness is one of the gravest sins, and obedience to a father in this matter is not permissible, for there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. The father's threat of death or torture is not to be taken into consideration; instead, the matter should be referred to the competent authorities. If that is not possible, and the conditions for valid coercion are met, and it does not lead to the killing of a soul or the violation of honor, then there is no sin upon them.
