It appears that you took an oath to confirm the description of the workers' situation. If the situation matches what you swore upon, then you have not broken your oath, and no divorce has occurred to your wife. Even if the situation did not match your description, but you swore believing it to be true, the preponderant opinion is also that no divorce has occurred, as it falls under the ruling of a vain (laghw) oath. Nevertheless, one should avoid swearing by divorce, for the lawful oath is only by Allah.
