What are the differences between the three books (Ihya' 'Ulum al-Din, Minhaj al-Qasidin, Mukhtasar Minhaj al-Qasidin), which of them is the best, and what is the best written commentary for Minhaj al-Qasidin or Mukhtasar Minhaj al-Qasidin?

Ibn Qudamah's abridgment of "Minhaj al-Qasidin" is distinctive in that it does not follow Al-Ghazali's arrangement, and focuses on the meanings of spiritual upbringing (tarbiyah) and purification (tazkiyah) without delving into jurisprudential branches. Therefore, it is more suitable for those seeking conciseness. As for Ibn al-Jawzi's book, it is considered better for those who desire elaboration and expansion. There is no printed commentary available for either of the abridged versions.
