Does a Muslim hate the sin but love the sinner? What is Islam's stance on this principle? And is there any consequence to my saying that this is Islam's stance?

A Muslim loves what Allah loves and hates what He hates. Hatred is directed towards the enemies of Allah, the disbelievers, and love is for the believers. If a believer errs, you hate their disobedience, not them, and the brotherhood of faith and their rights remain for them. It is obligatory to be loyal to a believer even if they oppress, and to be hostile to a disbeliever even if they do good. If a single person possesses both good and evil, they are to be befriended and honored to the extent of their good, and antagonized and punished to the extent of their evil.
