What is the ruling on making foam figurines of animate beings as keychains, and what is the ruling on pictures of animate beings in computer games?

The types of images and their rulings have been previously explained: Images of animate beings are either sculpted, having a shadow, or drawn by hand, or captured by a photographic camera. Scholars have agreed on the prohibition of the first type, except when there is a benefit, such as for children's toys. They favored the prohibition of the second type and differed regarding the third, with the preponderant view being its permissibility because it does not involve imitation of Allah's creation.
