Is it obligatory to fulfill the oath "By Allah, I shall sit here" if it was uttered hastily and emotionally, then the location was changed, and then returned to?
The un-contracted oath, for which there is no expiation, is that which precedes the tongue unintentionally. As for mere haste, it does not negate the intention of the oath and its formation. If you intended to make an oath and purposed not to change your place, then you have broken your oath, and the expiation for an oath mentioned in Surat Al-Ma'idah becomes obligatory upon you, which is: feeding ten poor persons, or clothing them, or emancipating a slave. If you cannot find [the means], then fasting for three days.
