Is it permissible to eat from plates that have cartoon images on them?

This type of demeaned image is permissible to use, as it is stated in Sharh al-Minhaj that images of animals on the ground, on a rug, or on a pillow used for reclining are permissible, as is anything located in a place that is demeaned. This includes images on dirhams and dinars, because they are demeaned through use.
