Daydreaming consists of inner thoughts and aspirations. Psychologists have defined it as a form of thinking that fulfills desires and urges that an individual is unable to realize in reality. Whether it is due to obsessive-compulsive disorder or not, the ruling on uttering words during a daydream depends on the content of the speech and the state of awareness. If the speech is permissible, there is no sin. If it is impermissible and uttered involuntarily in a state of delirium, there is no accountability. However, if it is uttered by choice and the person is capable of refraining, then he is sinful.
