How can one derive self-confidence from Allah Almighty, instead of deriving it from people's opinions or worldly successes?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

"There is no might nor power except with Allah" means that the servant cannot transform from disobedience to obedience, nor gain strength for obedience, except with the help of Allah. Divine success (tawfiq) is when Allah does not abandon you to yourself, and abandonment (khidhlan) is when He leaves you to yourself. Therefore, a Muslim should have a good opinion of Allah, disavow their own might and power, and believe that all good comes from Allah's divine success. Self-confidence is derived from reliance on Allah and having a good opinion of Him, while taking the necessary means, and attaching one's heart to Allah and relying on Him in all affairs.
