What is the meaning of the saying, "The servant should not think that he holds a special position with Allah," and is confidence in Allah's victory and support considered to be of this kind of thinking?

Self-admiration is a dangerous affliction that strikes a person with conceit, preventing him from benefiting and seeking advice, as he believes himself safe from Allah's cunning, and it leads the self-admirer to praise himself. This does not contradict having good thoughts about Allah, which encourages the servant to perform righteous deeds, for Allah says: "I am as My servant thinks of Me." So, whoever thinks good, it will be for him, and whoever thinks evil, it will be for him. Good thoughts about Allah mean that the servant believes Allah will have mercy on him and forgive him. Your confidence that Allah will grant you victory and support you with His help is not considered blameworthy presumption, especially if you have taken the means for victory and the fulfillment of prayers.
