Is it permissible to stop attending congregational prayers and Friday prayers at the mosque, and to remove the hijab and Islamic attire, due to the current circumstances that may lead to harm to Muslims in America?

Muslims in infidel countries are subjected to harm and persecution. We must clarify that Islam prohibits harming innocents and permits kindness and benevolence towards peaceful infidels. It is impermissible to kill a child or a woman in war. The infidels who are fought are those who waged war against Muslims and expelled them from their homes. Muslims are permitted to miss congregational prayers (Salat al-Jama’ah) and Friday prayers (Jumu'ah) due to extreme fear for their lives, families, or property. A Muslim woman should stay in her home during times of tribulation. It is permissible for a Muslim in infidel countries to wear the prevalent clothing in society to avert harm, especially during times of aggression. These events are an opportunity for Muslims to reconsider living in infidel countries without a legitimate religious necessity.
