Did the incident of idol demolition by their custodians occur during the Prophet's—peace be upon him—battles, as some have claimed it exists in the books of Sira?

The books of the Prophet's biography mention that the Messenger (peace be upon him) sent detachments to demolish idols in the eighth and ninth years of the Hijra, such as Al-Uzza, Suwa', Manat, and Dhul-Kaffayn. The narrators of the Sirah (Prophet's biography) did not mention that the Messenger ordered the demolition of temples upon their attendants. This fabrication has no basis in truth and was not even mentioned by the Orientalists hostile to Islam. Even if it were hypothetically proven that the Messenger ordered this, his action would have been righteous and correct, for he is an infallible prophet who conveys from his Lord: "Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but a revelation revealed" (An-Najm: 3-4). Whoever does not possess religious immunity must avoid listening to the words and doubts of atheists.
