Good character is one of the primary reasons for entering Paradise. A believer is neither vulgar nor obscene, and the harvest of an evil tongue is a cause for entering Hellfire. Therefore, he should be advised, and the gravity of his actions and the danger of the words he utters should be explained to him, and that they may incur Allah's wrath. Good example encompasses both words and deeds. It should also be clarified that his behavior may affect his family and their relationship with him. One can utilize an audio recording or a book about the آفات اللسان (afflictions of the tongue), or request that the topic be addressed in a sermon or admonition.
