How can one deal with a father who instigates disputes with his family, especially his wife, and does not listen to them, and treats them poorly despite going out for Da‘wah (Islamic proselytizing)?

A Muslim must adorn himself with good morals and avoid the causes of anger, because "A believer is not a slanderer, nor a curser, nor an obscene person, nor an ill-mannered one." Allah detests the obscene and ill-mannered. A believer must adorn himself with the morals of the Quran and the Prophet, peace be upon him, especially with his family, because "The best of you is the best to his family." The family is the most deserving of cheerfulness, good character, and kindness. If the father is characterized by bad manners, then this is a trial, and the wife must be patient and supplicate for his guidance and obey him in what Allah has permitted, and she will be rewarded for her patience.
