How is the Isha prayer performed when combined with the Maghrib prayer for a traveler? Is it prayed as four or two rak'ahs? And what is the number of rak'ahs for both the Maghrib and Isha prayers if I return to my country and haven't prayed them? Is it permissible to combine or shorten the Zhuhr or Asr prayers while working from 9 AM to 5 PM?

If the distance between one's city of residence and place of work reaches the distance for qasr (shortening prayers) (approximately 83 km one way), then it is permissible for the traveler to shorten the four-rak'ah prayers to two, and to combine prayers, either by advancing them (taqdeem) or delaying them (ta'kheer), whether praying while on the way or at the place of work. The condition is that one must have left the city to begin the concessions of travel. However, if the traveler arrives at their place of residence before the time for Isha prayer begins, it is not permissible for them to shorten it or combine it with Maghrib before its time, as the ruling of travel has ended. If the distance is less than the distance for qasr, then combining or shortening prayers is not permissible except with a valid excuse that permits combining.
