Should Maghrib and Isha prayers, if prayed combined and shortened in Jeddah before entering the house upon returning from travel, be repeated? And is it permissible to combine Dhuhr and Asr prayers during travel from the beginning of Dhuhr’s time until just before Asr’s time ends, or must they be combined within the time of one of the two prayers?

When a traveler reaches his place of residence, his journey ends, and he is no longer permitted to avail himself of the concessions of travel, such as shortening and combining prayers. Therefore, whoever arrives in Jeddah—which is his place of residence—is not permitted to shorten the 'Isha prayer to two rak'ahs, and he is obligated to repeat it as four rak'ahs. There is no harm for the traveler in combining prayers, either by advancing or delaying them, and it is better for him to do what is easier for him.
