Is it permissible to object to the Dome of the Rock mosque being depicted in yellow on the minbar, given that it is in front of the worshippers in the direction of the qiblah, and is it permissible to write a verse from Surat Al-Isra on the minbar such that it is behind the khatib's back and below his back during the sermon?

The Sunnah indicates the reprehensibility of anything that distracts a worshiper from their prayer. This reprehensibility is emphasized if the distracting object is in the direction of the Qiblah, based on the hadith narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed in a Khamisah (a striped garment) with markings. When he finished, he said, "Take this Khamisah of mine to Abu Jahm, for it has just distracted me from my prayer."

Among the things that distract a worshiper are inscriptions and decorations in the direction of the Qiblah, or the writing of Quranic verses on it. This is because it distracts the worshiper's heart, and because it resembles the People of the Book who cast Allah's كتاب (Book) behind their backs.
