Why was the address in verse 26 of Surat Al-Hajj: "Do not associate anything with Me" in the singular form, even though Ibrahim was not a polytheist, and are there different types of shirk (polytheism)?

Abraham (peace be upon him) never associated partners with his Lord, not even for a moment. Allah the Almighty has mentioned his distance from polytheism in the Quran, such as in His saying: "Indeed, I have turned my face toward He who originated the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah." The prohibition of polytheism mentioned for Abraham is similar to the prohibition for our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) concerning it, as in His saying: "And never be of those who associate others with Allah." The impossibility of polytheism for our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) means that the prohibition is a confirmation for him and a prohibition for his Ummah. There is no verse in the Quran that states: "He was not of those who associated others with Allah."
