What is the ruling on holding a "Halwud" celebration, which is a Hindu tradition in which men and women feed the wife and place an adornment on her head, knowing that the parents and sister approve of this?

A Muslim is not permitted to imitate disbelievers in their characteristics, such as clothing, celebrations, and holidays, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." The least status of this hadith is prohibition, just as outward imitation leads to inner imitation. The second reprehensible act in the celebration is men entering upon the bride while she is adorned, and the mixing of men and women, both of which are forbidden.
