How can it be proven from the Qur'an and Sunnah that an attempt to organize a religious ceremony involving carrying candles and circumambulating a lake with followers of other religions is incorrect?

Celebrations vary, and their rulings differ. It is not permissible for a Muslim to participate in the religious celebrations of disbelievers or congratulate them on them, for this entails a grave sin that can amount to disbelief. Similarly, it is forbidden to imitate them in dress, food, or their specific customs, such as lighting candles and circling with them. It is also forbidden to attend any celebration that promotes a false religion or sect, or praises a deviant ideology or belief, or occurs periodically like Christmas and Mother's Day, or is a forbidden occasion like Valentine's Day. Likewise, it is not permissible to attend any celebration involving free mixing of genders, music, or the consumption of forbidden food. However, attending personal celebrations of disbelievers, such as weddings, is permissible provided there is a legitimate benefit, such as inviting them to Islam.
