What is the ruling on clothing and adornment for men, including the ruling on imitating disbelievers, the ruling on the beard, the awrah of men and women, and eating from gold and silver vessels?

Imitating disbelievers is forbidden in clothing and other matters. The criterion for this is doing what is specific to them. So, any clothing that is specific to disbelievers is not permissible to wear. However, if something has become widespread among Muslims and is no longer distinctive to disbelievers, it is not considered imitation, unless it is forbidden for another reason. The blameworthy imitation is that which pertains to the characteristics of disbelievers, and regarding it, there is a stern warning: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." Eating and drinking from gold and silver vessels are forbidden due to the explicit prohibition mentioned concerning them, and because these are for them in this world and for us in the Hereafter.
