Is wearing trousers and suits forbidden because it constitutes imitating the disbelievers?

Allah has forbidden imitation of the disbelievers. The criterion for forbidden imitation is doing what is specific to them, such that whoever sees the doer believes him to be one of them. If an act becomes common among Muslims and disbelievers, it is no longer considered imitation. Thus, the ruling on imitation may vary with time and place. Wearing trousers or a suit is not exclusive to disbelievers today; rather, Muslims wear them, making it permissible.
