How is zakat paid on fava beans and peas: Is it immediately after harvest, or after they dry?

Zakat becomes obligatory on grains after they have been cleaned and purified from impurities, and this is the view of the majority of scholars. As for the time of its obligation, it is when the crop ripens and its goodness becomes apparent. This obligation entails guaranteeing the zakat after this time, except in the case of a heavenly affliction, and determining whether the seller or the buyer is responsible for the zakat. As for His Almighty's saying: (And give its due on the day of its harvest) Al-An'am: 141, this is another right other than zakat, and it is recommended. This verse was revealed in Mecca before zakat was mandated, and what is meant by it is feeding the poor and the needy from what one generously gives on the day of harvest.
