Was there a statement from our master Uthman regarding the use of Abdullah ibn Abi Sarh, and how and when did he die?

Abdullah ibn Abi Sarh was a Companion who pledged allegiance to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, after his blood had been declared lawful on the Day of the Conquest of Mecca. Uthman appointed him governor of Egypt, and he conquered the lands of Ifriqiya (Libya and Tunisia). The people of Egypt complained about him to Uthman, so he removed him from his post. He died in Ascalon, and it is also said in Ramla, where he went and said: "O Allah, make my last deed the Fajr prayer." So he performed ablution and prayed, and Allah took his soul after he had given the salutation to his right.
