What is the ruling on repeated doubt about performing the sitting between the two prostrations in prayer? Must one perform the prostration of forgetfulness and repeat the sitting, even though one thinks it most likely that it was performed? And what is the ruling on someone who took his own life because of severe depression caused by a deficiency in brain secretions: is he considered a suicide, and will he enter the Fire?

Frequent doubts in prayer, which may reach the level of obsessive whispers (waswasah), must be ignored and not paid attention to. If you doubt having performed something, cast aside the doubt and proceed with your prayer, based on the saying of Ibn Uthaymeen: "Doubt after an action has no effect, and similarly, if doubts become frequent." As for suicide, it is one of the gravest sins and is not excused by a psychological or physical illness. Whoever commits it while being aware of their action is accountable for it and subject to God's punishment.
