What is the abasement and destitution that leads to the great station mentioned in the tradition from some of the gnostics, and is it realized more in a specific act of worship than in others?

Man was created to worship Allah alone, without any partners. His worship combines perfect humility and submission with perfect love for Him, the Almighty. Perfect humility is manifested through the realization of servitude to Allah alone, and the greatest act of worship in which humility is apparent is prayer, especially prostration within it. As for dependence on Allah, it is a high station that a servant reaches through servitude, supplication, seeking assistance, and reliance. When humility towards Allah is realized, dependence on Him becomes manifest, and the servant knows that he has no independence from his Lord. Supplication, by describing the supplicant's state, indicates this dependence. Furthermore, the heart is inherently dependent on Allah in terms of worship, seeking assistance, and reliance, and it will not be sound or successful except through worshipping its Lord, loving Him, and turning to Him in repentance. Thus, the servant is dependent on Allah in everything: in his creation, existence, life, knowledge, guidance, and in bringing benefit and warding off harm.
