The answer

Allah alone knows everything in the heavens and on earth, such as the number of water droplets and grains of sand. Neither a close angel nor a sent prophet knows this, for the keys to the unseen are with Him alone, glorified be He. Allah Almighty said: (And with Him are the keys of the Unseen; none knows them except Him) Al-An'am/59, and (Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah") An-Naml/65. Allah may disclose a part of His unseen to whomever He wills among His messengers, as He said: (Knower of the Unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] Unseen to anyone Except whom He has approved of messengers) Al-Jinn/26,27. Angels do not know the unseen except what Allah has taught them. They do not know the number of water droplets, even if one of them is assigned to rain. They say: (Glory be to You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise) Al-Baqarah/32.
