How can I convince my mother, who hears voices—which she believes belong to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his household—to disregard these voices, and that the Prophet does not visit anyone with his voice while awake, using Quranic verses or Prophetic hadiths?

Sufism is an innovated doctrine that includes innovations (bid'ah) and polytheistic practices (shirk). Its adherents claim connection with the Unseen and communication with prophets and saints after their death, which is invalid both religiously and rationally.

It is not permissible to use as proof what is seen in a dream or heard while awake if it contradicts Islamic law (Sharia), for religion was perfected with the passing of the Prophet, peace be upon him. Voices that command disobedience to the Sharia are from the whisperings of Satan, and following them may lead to apostasy. The mother must be guided, and the fallacy of these voices must be explained to her. The Sharia has been perfected, and no one is permitted to legislate what Allah has not authorized. Marriage is a commendable act, and the Sharia has not made it conditional on seeking anyone's permission. These commands that contradict the Sharia are from Satan, and they must be ceased.
