Is it permissible to supplicate for a deformity in me to be changed?

Supplication (Du'a) is a great act of worship. A Muslim is required to supplicate to Allah in all their affairs, as long as their supplication does not involve sin, severing ties of kinship, or transgressing by asking for something that is usually impossible (not what is impossible for Allah, for nothing is impossible for Allah).

If this disability is something that can usually be cured, then there is no harm in supplicating for its removal and seeking effective remedies for it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Seek medical treatment, O servants of Allah, for Allah has not sent down any disease except that He has sent down for it a cure, except for one disease." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is it?" He said, "Old age."

However, if the disability is such that its removal is usually impossible, then one should not supplicate for its removal, as this would be considered transgression in supplication.

A Muslim should be patient and seek reward (from Allah), for the reward of the patient is immense. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Wondrous is the affair of the believer, for there is good in every affair of his, and this is not the case with anyone except the believer. If prosperity overtakes him, he is grateful and that is good for him. And if adversity befalls him, he is patient and that is good for him."
