Are the Kiswah of the Kaaba and the gifts designated for it considered charity, or a legitimate right for the custodians, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "O Uthman, Allah has entrusted you with His House, so eat from what comes to you from this House in a reasonable manner," and given that their fathers and forefathers used to dispose of it by selling or gifting it?

Banu Shaybah are permitted to accept voluntary gifts and donations as charity, righteousness, and connection. However, they are not allowed to take them as a wage or under any condition. Scholars have agreed that the guardianship of the Kaaba (Hijabat al-Kaaba) belongs to Banu Talhah and cannot be taken away from them. Whatever they receive through this in terms of righteousness and connection is permissible for them to accept. As for what is given to the custodians of the Noble Kaaba, if it has a price, they should not take it; otherwise, there is no harm in it. The old covering of the Kaaba is distributed for charitable purposes to be utilized.
