The Companion whose eye fell out in one of the battles was Qatadah ibn al-Nu'man. He participated in Badr and all the other battles with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. His eye fell out on the Day of Badr or Uhud, so it was in his hand. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, put it back, and it became the most beautiful and sharpest of his eyes in terms of sight. It was also said that it was not recognizable.
