Will the sins one has repented from be recorded in the books of deeds on the Day of Judgment?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Everything a servant does, whether good or evil, he will find in his scroll on the Day of Resurrection. So, whoever sins and then repents, he will find his sin and his repentance that erased the sin. The correct view is that minor sins that are forgiven are still written down, and sins are not erased from the scrolls of deeds by repentance or otherwise. Rather, their owner will be informed of them and will read them on the Day of Resurrection, as indicated by the verses and sayings narrated from some of the Salaf.
