Does a car become impure if a dog gets on it? What is the method for purifying it? And what should be done after a mosque's carpet becomes impure with sewage water due to a mistake in assessing the purity of the water?
If a dog touches a car with its body and fur only, without urine or saliva, it does not become impure. However, if it touches it with its saliva, urine, or excrement, the spot becomes impure and is purified by washing it seven times, one of them with earth.
If you are certain that you placed your foot, wet with impurity, on the mosque carpet, only the affected spot becomes impure and is purified by pouring pure water over it. If the impure spot is uncertain, the entire carpet must be washed.
It is not permissible to remain silent about impurity for fear of supervisors; you can inform them if you are unable to purify it yourself.
If you prayed with impurity out of ignorance, Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah held the view that the prayer is valid and does not need to be repeated.
If what you are experiencing is obsessive whispering (waswas), then disregard it and do not dwell on it, for the most effective treatment for it is to completely ignore it.
