Will a Muslim be rewarded for his patience and abstinence from the immoralities of Westerners, and for convincing himself of that?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Patience is of three types: patience in the face of painful divine decrees, patience in obeying Allah, and patience in abstaining from disobeying Allah. Whoever avoids disobedience out of fear of Allah has indeed been patient and will be rewarded, as Allah Almighty says: "So be patient. Indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good." And His saying: "Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account." Disobedience has a temporary pleasure followed by regret. You must strive to attain Allah's help, for Allah Almighty says: "And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways."
