It is permissible for the pilgrim performing Umrah (definition) to delay shaving or shortening the hair after the tawaf (definition) and sa'i, provided that they do not engage in any of the prohibitions of ihram (definition). However, it is preferable to hasten the disengagement from ihram to prepare for Friday prayer by bathing, perfuming oneself, and wearing the best clothes. The Sunnah (definition) on Friday is to bathe, perfume oneself, and wear the best clothes, and drawing near to the Imam during the sermon is better than drawing near to the Kaaba.
