Which is more appropriate: the prayer of saluting the mosque or listening to the Quranic circle?
Whoever enters the mosque and finds a study circle or a Quranic circle, should pray the two Rak'ahs for greeting the mosque and then sit in the circle if he wishes, because of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "When any one of you enters the mosque, he should not sit until he prays two Rak'ahs." This applies to Quranic and study circles by extension and with even greater reason.
