What is the ruling on the Sunnah of "Tahiyat Al-Masjid" (greeting the mosque) when there is a study circle?

The salutation of the mosque (tahiyat al-masjid) is a , and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded it. So, whoever enters the mosque should not sit until he prays two rak'ahs. Even if there is a lesson of knowledge, he should begin by performing the salutation of the mosque, then sit down to listen to the lesson.
