If a man's adultery is proven, then advising him is an act of kindness, for adultery is a grave sin. Continue to advise him and instill in him fear of Allah. If he repents, then praise be to Allah. Otherwise, threaten to expose his affair and report the matter to someone who can restrain him. Abandon him if you hope it will benefit him. Refer to No. 46153.
