How sound is the Hadith: "He who has intercourse with a soothsayer and believes what he says, or has intercourse with a woman in her anus, has disavowed what was revealed to Muhammad, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him," and what is its authentic chain of narration?

The hadith that speaks of approaching a menstruating woman, or a woman in her anus, or a soothsayer, and the resulting disbelief in what was revealed to Muhammad (peace be upon him), was narrated by the compilers of the Sunan and Imam Ahmad with similar wordings and was authenticated by Al-Albani and Al-Suyuti. Despite some scholars deeming it weak, a weak hadith is strengthened by supporting narrations and corroborating evidence. The annotators of Al-Musnad and Al-Tirmidhi indicated that the weakening and rejection of the hadith were due to the presence of the word "disbelief" (takfir), otherwise, the condemnation of these actions has been reported in other forms. Thus, the most likely conclusion is that the hadith is authentic.
