What is the ruling on working in military centers if it most often leads to abandoning congregational prayers or delaying prayers beyond their prescribed time?

It is not permissible to work in any job that leads to abandoning prayer or delaying it beyond its prescribed time. The status of prayer is great, and it does not fall away from a Muslim as long as they are of sound mind. Even on the battlefield, it does not fall away; rather, they pray it according to their ability.

As for performing prayer in congregation, it is obligatory, but it is waived for a Muslim if they are unable to attend due to illness or being occupied with essential work.

So, if working in military centers leads to abandoning prayer entirely or delaying it, then it is not permissible to work there, and one must resign. However, if it only leads to abandoning congregational prayer, then the workers must strive to organize the work in a way that allows for the opportunity to pray in congregation. If they are prevented from doing so, then the situation of each person should be considered: whoever is in need of the job and cannot find an alternative, it is permissible for them to work while trying to find a way to pray in congregation or find an alternative job, acting upon the words of Allah Almighty: (So fear Allah as much as you are able) [Quran 64:16]. As for those who are not in need, they should leave this work and seek another job through which they can fulfill what Allah has made obligatory upon them.
