Is it forbidden to eat sweets that contain "alcohol" or "spirit"?

If the intoxicating substance added to the sweets undergoes a complete transformation into a non-intoxicating substance before mixing, then there is no objection to adding it and consuming what it is mixed with. However, if it remains in its original state at the time of mixing, then it contaminates what it is mixed with, and it is not permissible to sell it.
