What is the ruling on expectations based on experience or the repetition of events, such as saying "I think such-and-such will happen," without claiming knowledge of the unseen?

The Unseen (Ghaib) is known only by Allah the Almighty, as stated in His saying: "And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die." And the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The keys to the Unseen are five, none knows them except Allah: No one knows what will happen tomorrow except Allah."

Predicting outcomes based on experience or recurring events, or analyzing events to foresee the future, or expecting rain when clouds gather, is not considered knowledge of the Unseen. Rather, it falls under the meaning of sagacity (firasah), or conjecture and estimation, which is permissible.
