Is it possible for someone to be given the ability to know the unseen, and what is the explanation for some predictions coming true?
The absolute unseen is known only to Allah. Allah Almighty may reveal some of the unseen to some of His righteous servants, His pious saints, and His prophets, and this occurs through various means. Those who are inspired (al-muhaddathun) are informed of some unseen matters, and true dreams are a part of prophecy. There is no religious or logical impediment to this occurring for some individuals as a grace (karamah) for them, provided they are pious and truthful. This may also be through the faculty of insight, contemplation, and foresight (firasah), as happened with the pious predecessors. Likewise, what analysts and observers anticipate is often the result of contemplation, induction, and experience, or through inspiration and divine unveilings. It must be noted that everything in the universe occurs by Allah's decree and destiny, and there is no such thing as chance.
