Is what was narrated about Mansur ibn Ammar—that an angel descended upon him and informed him that Allah greets him and commands him to set up his minbar in "Al-Han" to speak with determination and courage; and his presence at Al-Han after the "minbar carrier" miraculously brought him the minbar; and his causing three people to repent after his sermon; then his meeting with a person claiming to be the boy for whom he was addressed in a dream; and this boy's rising into the air—considered among the miracles of the awliya' (saints)?

Mansur ibn Ammar was a renowned preacher and storyteller. Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Al-Thiqat (The Trustworthy Biographies), stating that he narrated from Ibn Lahia and Al-Layth ibn Sa'd, and that his stories regarding preaching and encouraging good deeds were numerous. However, he was not among the Ahl al-Hadith (scholars of Hadith) who memorized extensively, and most of his narrations were from weak narrators. The story of Mansur's entry into Paradise without reckoning has not been mentioned in any of the reputable biographical works, and it appears to bear signs of fabrication and invention.
