Is it permissible to use papers with choices written on them after performing Istikhara prayer, and consider what is drawn from them as a choice from Allah?

The aforementioned act is not legislated due to its resemblance to divination by arrows (istiqsam bil-azlam) and because it has not been reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him). Furthermore, there is no benefit in it. For, once a person has sought guidance from Allah through Istikhara, whatever choices Allah facilitates for him will contain goodness. There is no impediment for goodness to be found in what one was inclined towards before Istikhara, provided that the Istikhara was performed with sincerity and devotion.
