What is the ruling on reciting Qaṣīdat al-Burda during the Mawlid (Prophet's Birthday) commemoration?

The Prophet's Birthday celebration (Mawlid) is an innovation (bid'ah), whether or not Al-Burda is recited during it. Restricting the recitation of Al-Burda to a specific time and believing in its virtue at that time is considered an innovation. If a person recites it generally, let them take what is good from it and avoid its exaggerations regarding the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, unless they are reciting it to demonstrate its flaws, in which case they will be rewarded for that.
